Special Event: 16th Annual Earth Day
After a Covid break, we had a return to a formal Earth Day/Love Where you Live neighbourhood clean up on Saturday April 23rd.
37 dedicated volunteers, young and old, cleaned up the Ridge from end to end and top to bottom.
Along with a large pile of debris, this year we did some chipping, some planting at the Triangle Park at the east end of the Ridge, street sign washing, cutting grass and vines back off sidewalks, and a general tidy of some prominent areas.
We then had a great BBQ back at Tammy and Joe’s. For 16 years now, so many of you have contributed greatly to the beautification of our neighbourhood. You are all to be commended for your dedication!
We hope to do another event in the Fall. We know the young boy who found a $50 bill will be back! It pays to start volunteering at a young age!
Thanks to all who showed up to do their part. And thanks also to those of you who make an effort every day to show your pride in where you live by keeping your property and streets looking good.
