Effective June 1, 2015, a burning ban has been implemented in the City of Surrey. All burning permits have been suspended due to extremely dry conditions and high fire hazard. (Fire Prevention By-law No. 10771)

There is no burning of any solid fuels at any time unless the fire is compliant with Surrey By-Law #10771.
Cooking fires, campfires, or burning of garbage is prohibited in the City of Surrey.
Chimneas or any other consumer product that is built for the burning of wood is not permitted.
Natural gas, propane or charcoal briquettes are permitted as long as they are being used in ULC/CSA-approved devices for that particular product.
